Important Notice - Update concerning COVID-19

** PSI Test Site Closures Effective March 19, 2020 **

PSI Testing has temporarily closed their testing centers starting March 19 until April 13, 2020

 

Rescheduling Your PSI Exam

Effective immediately, PSI test candidates can reschedule up to and including the day of testing at no penalty and no documentation required. NOTE: In most cases, candidates can reschedule their examinations on-line and they are encouraged to do so. If a candidate chooses to reschedule through the PSI call center, they may experience longer than usual wait times under the current circumstances.

  • You will NOT receive another letter from the NC Board of Examiners extending your exam eligibility deadline (we checked for you)
  • All PSI reschedule rules and no show policies are relaxed through April 30th
  • If you are unable to make your exam and you are reported as a no-show you will be allowed to reschedule at no cost (that's a relief!)

 


Exam Prep Courses and the Coronavirus

We have re-scheduled the April 4 & 5th exam prep class until May 2 & 3rd, 2020

  • We want to reassure you, our valued student, that your health, safety and well-being are of utmost importance. Effective March 15th, all weekend exam prep classes will be held at:

  • We're practicing social distancing and disinfection/sanitizing protocols, here are some of the ways we are taking action in our classrooms:

    Additional hand-sanitizing stations added throughout the building.

    One student to a classroom workstation/table

    Increased frequency of disinfection and cleaning of desks, chairs and other high-touch indoor and outdoor break areas Use of individually packaged snacks and beverages in our classrooms and break areas

 

 


NC H-1 Exam Prep Course

The Technical Training Institute’s curriculum for the NC H-1 Exam Prep Course has been developed to teach  students the latest NC  Code-based test material, commercial load estimating utilizing the approved ACCA Design manuals, and the specific articles of NC Contracting Law.

You'll spend half of the first class day on a comprehensive review of NC Business Exam questions from NC Contracting Law.  (Note: Administered by PSI testing; you'll take the NC Technical and Business Exams on the same day.)

Effective August 1, 2017 you must have your own set of exam reference books for class and for your exam.

Your instructor, Michael J. Pratl, has over 30 years of field experience, is a mechanical contractor licensed by the state of North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida, Certified Building Analyst and a NCCER Certified Master Trainer.
