The NCDOI’s Residential Ad Hoc Committee has introduced a submittal that will keep Chapter 11 (Energy Code) and Chapters 12 – 23 (Mechanical Code) and Chapter 24 (Fuel Gas Code) the same as the 2018 version of the NC Residential Code.
The reason for this submittal?
The proposed 2024 Energy Code included changes that would increase the new home cost to a consumer by over $20,000.
