NC License Exams are currently based on the 2018 NC Building Codes.
Many of you have been asking us the big codebook question, “when will we need the new NC codebooks?”
So we checked with NCDOI Mechanical and Fuel Gas Code -Engineering Division, the dates they provided are:
- the NC Building Code adoption process is currently ongoing
- the 2024 NC Codes implementation date should be January 1st, 2025
- the 2024 codes should become available by July, 2024 at the latest
